இந்திய அஞ்சல் துறையில் காலியாக உள்ள 30, 041 கிராம அஞ்சல் பணியாளர்களுக்கான (GRAMIN DAK SEVAKS -GDS) ஆட்சேர்ப்பு அறிவிப்பு வெளியாகியுள்ளது. இதில், தமிழ்நாட்டில் மட்டும் 2,994 காலியிடங்கள் நிரப்பப்பட உள்ளன.

கல்வித் தகுதி: குறைந்தபட்சம் 10ம் வகுப்பு அல்லது அதற்கு சமமான படிப்பில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். இதில், ஆங்கிலம், கணிதம் ஆகிய பாடப்பிரிவுகளில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.கட்டாயமாக விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் உள்ளூர் மொழியறிவு கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும். அதேபோன்று, மிதிவண்டி ஓட்டத் தெரிந்திருப்பது கட்டாயமாகும்.
வயது வரம்பு:
குறைந்தபட்ச வயது – 18 (விண்ணப்பங்கள் சமர்ப்பிக்க நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட இறுதி நாளன்று பூர்த்தியடைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்)அதிகபட்ச வயது – 40 (விண்ணப்பங்கள் சமர்ப்பிக்க நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட இறுதி நாளன்று பூர்த்தியடைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்)பட்டியல் சாதிகள் (5 ஆண்டுகள்), பட்டியல் பழங்குடியினர் (5 ஆண்டுகள்) பிரிவினருக்கும், இடஒதுக்கீடு சலுகை பெற தகுதியுடைய இதர பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட வகுப்பினருக்கும் (3 ஆண்டுகள்), மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள்(10 ஆண்டுகள்) நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட வயது வரம்பிற்கு மேல் வயது வரம்புச் சலுகை அளிக்கப்படும்.
இந்த பதவிக்கு எந்தவித எழுத்து மற்றும் நேர்காணல் தேர்வும் இல்லாமல், 10ம் வகுப்புத் தேர்வில் பெற்ற மதிப்பெண்கள் அடிப்படையிலே தேர்வு செய்யப்பட உள்ளனர். 10ம் வகுப்புத் தேர்வில், இரண்டிற்கும் மேற்பட்ட தேர்வர்கள் சமமான மதிப்பெண்களைப் பெற்றிருந்தால், பெண் தேர்வர்களுக்கு முன்னுரிமை வழங்கப்படும் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த பதவிக்கான விண்ணப்ப செயல்முறை ஆன்லைன் மூலமாக மட்டுமே நடைபெறும். indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in என்ற அதிகாரப்பூர்வ இணையதளத்தின் மூலம் விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும். விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் தாங்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்க விரும்பும் அஞ்சல் வட்டத்தை முதலில் தேர்வு செய்ய வேண்டும். ஒன்றுக்கு மேற்பட்ட வட்டங்களில் உள்ள காலியிடங்களுக்கும் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
விண்ணப்பக் கட்டணம் கிடையாது:
இதற்கான விண்ணப்பக் கட்டணம் ரூ. 100 ஆகும். இருப்பினும், பட்டியல் சாதிகள்/ பட்டியல் பழங்குடியினர்/ அனைத்துப் பிரிவுகளையும் சேர்ந்த பெண்கள், மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள்/ திருநர்கள் ஆகிய பிரிவைச் சார்ந்த விண்ணப்பதார்கள் கட்டணம் செலுத்த தேவையில்லை.
மத்திய அரசு வேலையா? ஆம்… இருந்தாலும், அஞ்சல்துறை துறை சாராத சேவை அமைப்பின் (Extra Departmental system in the Department of Posts) கீழ் இந்த பணியிடங்கள் நிரப்பப்படுகின்றன. இந்த பணியிடங்களுக்கான ஆள்சேர்க்கை, படிகள் மத்திய அரசால் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டாலும், அஞ்சல் துறையில் முழு நேர ஊழியர்களுக்கான சம்பள விகிதம் இவர்களுக்கு பொருந்தாது. EMOLUMENTS: Emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance thereon are paid to the GDS. The applicable TRCA to different categories are as under: –

(ii) Age will be determined as on the last date of submission of applications.
(a) Relaxations in upper age limit :
(b) Process of Certification and Format of Certificates: Applicants, who
wish to be considered for reserved vacancies or seek age relaxation, will have
to submit the requisite certificate from the competent authority in the prescribed
Format. In case of failure to do so, their candidature will be cancelled.

5.2. QUALIFICATION AS ON THE DATE OF NOTIFICATION:
(1) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
(a) Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of
GDS.
(b) The applicant should have studied the local language, i.e., (Name of Local language) at least up to Secondary standard [as compulsory or elective subjects].
(2) OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:-
(i) Knowledge of computer
(ii) Knowledge of cycling
(iii) Adequate means of livelihood
